I figured I should probably update the blog since it's been well over a year since I've posted last.
Since my last post in July of 2012, we did an IUI in Nov/Dec of that year and got pregnant. Unfortunately at our first ultrasound, all we saw was an empty sac. The RE told us it was a blighted ovum, where the embryo was formed and then died right away, likely from a genetic issue. We had two more ultrasounds to confirm there was no embryo over the course of two weeks and then ended up having a D & C. When we got the all clear to try again on our own, we didn't have any luck.
In April 2013, we discussed trying one last IUI since I still had some Follistim leftover and we had the money that my sister had helped us raise for potentially doing IVF (my insurance coverage for further infertility treatment was exhausted). My RE agreed and we did one last Follistim/IUI cycle in May 2013.
My home pg tests were coming back positive and getting slightly darker and the beta confirmed we were pregnant. Repeat beta more than tripled. Our first ultrasound we saw two sacs, and two teeny, tiny embryos!!! We were pregnant with twins!!!!
Fast forward to today, January 5, 2014. I am 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant with our two little miracle boys! I am having a scheduled c-section on January 30th. Less than 25 days until we get to meet them!
I've been very lucky and have had a very uneventful pregnancy so far. My sleep is getting more and more disrupted by trips to the bathroom and braxton hicks contractions, but I'll take it!!
I hope to continue to blog the rest of this pregnancy and once the babies arrive. I hope you all had a great 2013 and 2014 has even better things in store for us all!!!

Congrats, I'm so happy and excited for you! I've been pretty absent from the blog world too. Your going to be busy with those sweet little twins but I hope you find time to keep blogging. Can't wait to see some pics :)
